New Year

Happy New Year! We hope your holidays were spectacular and you were able to spend time with your loved ones dear to your heart. Over the break, our group was formulating our plan to create our video. Unfortunately, with the time crunch and the end of the semester nearing, we will not be creating a full length video. We will be creating and sharing a presentation, equipped with video clips. We are going to try to get it up on YouTube, a video of our presentation, so that more people will be able to view and become aware.

In the month of January, we are going to be keeping our blog more up to date, to keep you guys informed of everything that is going on.

If you guys have any ideas of things you think we should have in our presentation, please let us know!

And keep sharing the link to our blog!! Thank you!!

Sorry we haven't been posting much guys! The past few weeks have been crazy busy at our school! But don't worry, our activism project is still underway! Right now, we are busy emailing celebrities and local celebrities to get their input on down syndrome, once that step is completed we will be working on our video! If you would like to be featured in our video, by recording yourself talking about downsyndrome, or a statement, please email us at downsyndromeawarenessproject@gmail.com OR leave a comment on our blog.

Thank you!

P.S. We are in the process of seeing if we can order down syndrome awareness bracelets!

Down Syndrome Awareness Project

Hello! This blog will be produced in the hopes of spreading awareness about Down Syndrome. We are four grade 10 students from Stettler, Alberta, Canada. We are attending William E. Hay High School and in our Social 10-1 class we were given the opportunity to pick a cause and create a Social Activism project. We chose to spread awareness about Down Syndrome because we believed that it is a common condition children are born with and yet many people do not fully appreciate or realize all that Down Syndrome entails. We hope that you will follow us along this project and we would be glad to hear any suggestions or comments that you guys have! We can be further reached at downsyndromeawarenessproject@gmail.com. Thank you and talk to you guys soon!
